Several of you expressed interest in learning more about how we put together the robot invitations. One reader, Sharon, figured out the basic concept, and already made her own version.
The nice thing about robots is that they can look like whatever, and are usually made of basic shapes. I designed Bob and left off his arms on the printed invitation. My kids are going to show you how we assembled the invitations in this highly-unprofessional video.
Aside from my all-over-the-place camera work, and my daughter’s pronunciation of “academy” (she learns most of her vocabulary from reading), what’s really funny about this take is that my husband is in the same room, completely oblivious that we are filming. BUT it was the only take where the kids were actually being nice to each other…so enjoy!
